Because of the economic crisis in the world over the past year, more people are joining the arena known as online marketing than ever before. People with no experience, not knowing what to watch out for, not knowing what is expected of them. Unfortunately, these newbies are fodder for the unscrupulous marketers that are a part of our society. Hopefully, this posting will provide some sense of guidance for those who are still considering online marketing as a profession, a way of making money online.

Main Rule Of Thumb:

* If it sounds to good to be true, it’s probably not true.

It never ceases to amaze me at the number of people who will believe anything they see on the computer. Look, I know that for some people these are desperate times, but we need to realize that just as there are untrustworthy people in our own neighborhoods, there are also those we should not trust online. In every aspect of our daily lives we should use good judgment before acting on anything. I see people all the time signing up for programs that promise them the world on a silver platter for doing nothing. Yeah! We’ve all seen em. “Pay just $19.95 a month and do nothing, we’ll make you rich” the ad will say, or imply.

* Do nothing, get nothing

My father told me years ago that anything worth having is worth working for. And, he was right. This is not to say that if it’s a gift that it’s not okay. The meaning here is that if you want to really want something bad enough, that working for it is the better way to get it. Online marketing presents an opportunity to all of us. No one will ever give you anything free. Oh yes, the ads will imply that. The ads will mislead you into believing that. But the fact is, unless you work you’ll get nothing for nothing. So, how do we avoid the pitfalls of the few unscrupulous marketers out to get only your money and provide nothing in return?

There is only one way, and it sounds so simple, so basic that it’s hard to believe even I took years to figure it out.

When you go shopping for a washing machine or perhaps a new stove for your home, you look for quality. You want a product that has a history of being a solid performing product. You don’t go shopping for a major appliance for your home with the thought in mind that you’ll buy the cheapest, even if you’ve never heard of it. Right? You look for the Maytags, the Westinghouse, the LG”s. Products that have history and have proven themselves as being reliable and worthy of your trust and money. It’s no different in your shopping for an online marketing group or program to work with. You want to find programs that have proven themselves over the years as being reliable. Those that have a long track record of helping people like you and I to make money.

With 24 years of MLM and online marketing behind me, I’ve aligned myself with two very basic, yet very solid performing company’s. Each have their own unique differences, yet each have mass appeal and provide a service to the internet community that very few others can claim, or provide. One is free to join, the other offers a 7 day trial free, after which it costs just $10.00 per month, not 19.95 or more. Really, it’s the most cost-effective company out there with a track record. Now here’s the kicker. If you are a U.S. citizen, you can claim your own home based business for a grand total of $10.00/mo. or $120.00 a year. This entitles you to all the benefits that a company has with the United States Tax Codes. So, even if you don’t ever do a thing with it, you still get the benefit of deductions as any business would.

The first company, SFI, has a rich history. The parent company to SFI has been in business helping others to become successful in their own business since 1985. Not many, if any, can claim that. I will caution you though, that taking the slow track will get you to success but takes a much longer time to get there than say, setting up a budgeted amount to spend each month on things such as advertising and other related business expenses. The second company, GDI, has been creating successful people since 1994. The product they provide is the mainstay. The video you’ll watch not only provides you with a rich history of the company, but also the future of the company. First came the dot coms, then the dot orgs, followed by several others that though were scoffed at in the beginning have taken on a following that is unique to it’s own purpose. GDI offers a free 7-day trial to check out it’s value to you, and to see the potential earnings you could create for yourself. After the 7-day trial offer has expired, the cost is only $10.00 per month. This is the cheapest home-based business that you’ll be able to join and utilize the savings in taxes that you pay through exemptions allowed by the U.S. tax codes. It is estimated that nearly 500 million people around the world have access to the Internet and have built web pages. It’s also estimated that by the year 2015 there will be 1.5 billion active internet users around the world. Of those that have access now, only 10% have ever heard of GDI. This provides you with an example of the potential that is available to you.

There may be those of you who would be tempted to ask me that if I am doing so well, how much do I make? I will tell you the same thing I tell my children, my income is between me, my wife and the Internal Revenue Service. I will not tout massive amounts of income in front of you, as some do (most of them are false representations). I will tell you this though, I am wealthy and of that wealth, it has been acquired through the utilization of these two companies, SFI and GDI.

I will urge you to look into these two programs. Sign up for SFI, free and then with GDI for the 7-day trial period. But beware, to succeed you’ll need to work the programs, follow the directions and envelope that thought that if it’s worth having, it’s worth working for.
